1.  Proposals are due September 1. (Coming soon…can you believe it’s mid July?)

  

2.  Conference Strands

• Nature of Science: A Way of Thinking

• Instructional Technology in Science Classrooms

• Teaching for Assessment versus Enduring Understanding

• Science Teaching in Elementary Classrooms

• S.T.E.M.

 

 3.  Concurrent Sessions are 60 minute presentations, focusing on a single topic and can be: 

• Hands-on: A session that provides each participant experiences with materials or activities and discussion. (Not Lecture)
• Panel-Discussion: A session led by two or more speakers on a topic of general or specific interest, including a question and answer period.
• Demonstration: A demonstration of apparatus, a series of experiments, or scientific phenomenon, allowing for limited participation by the audience.
• Contributed Paper: A 30 minute opportunity to present the results of any research or share an innovative teaching idea.
