Two NASA probes equipped with a special lunar cameras called a MoonKAM are now able to send pictures to students by request.  The probes, called Ebb and Flow, are on a mission to study the moon’s formation and how Earth and other rocky planets formed.  The students are able to take pictures using the MoonKAM (Moon Knowledge Acquired by Middle School students.)

Indiana Rocks!

Let’s start the day with a look at Indiana’s rocks.

Tina Harris, a teacher at Anderson Community Schools Corporation, is an avid rock hound. She’s put together a PDF that you can use in your classroom to explore Indiana’s rocks. And best of all, Tina is your field guide! You can share this in your classroom as you teach Lesson 3 of our Rocks module. Click here for your virtual copy of the lesson from Tina.

Another great resource is Science Companion’s free digital sampler from our Rocks Module. Click here to download our free iTLM digital sampler.

Enjoy!
